The workshop was opened by RSAL Director Ada Kolganova, who noted that for the first time the format of the seminar combined the tasks of presenting to a wide professional audience not only new information resources on the arts, but also practical experience in their use to serve readers.

Regional Representative of ProQuest in Russia Anna Trifonova spoke about several information resources of interest to a wide range of researchers: the world’s largest full-text electronic collection of dissertations ‘ProQuest Dissertations & Theses Global’; The Arts Premium Collection database with art, design, architecture, humanities, film, music, and performing arts magazines; the Arts Ebook Subscription archive containing the full US and UK editions of Harper’s Bazaar; and the electronic Entertainment Industry Magazine Archive, which covers various aspects of professional activity in the music, film, and entertainment industry.

Krassimira Petrova, ProQuest Regional Director for Historical Collections, showed how the Theater and Drama Premium Collection, which reflects outstanding pages in 20th-century world theatre history with video versions of the most significant works in world drama, has been significantly changed and expanded, and presented the Music and Dance Collection.
