Video Lecture, The Dramaturgy and Prose of Mikhail Bulgakov in Foreign Editions

The Russian State Art Library has prepared a series of video lectures dedicated to the fate of published books and plays by author Mikhail Bulgakov in the USSR, Russia, and abroad.

Maria Mishurovskaya, Chief Bibliographer of RSAL’s Bibliographical Sciences Department, tells about the publication history of Mikhail Bulgakov’s plays and two of his novels—The White Guard and The Master and Margarita, which took shape in the 20th century.

The lecture, The Dramaturgy and Prose of Mikhail Bulgakov in Foreign Editions, is devoted to the specifics of the publishing of Bulgakov’s plays and novels that entered the repertoire of European and American publishing houses in the 20th century.
